Dear Readers, Seven years: Oh what fun it was. From the very first moment, I knew EP Lab Digest would create a whirlwind. Although Cath Lab Digest was available, there was nothing for ancillary EP personnel. Therefore, EP Lab Digest was born. Since the first issue we have included many great articles and pictures on new technology and new procedures, as well as a forum each month for electrophysiologists and their staff to address concerns, issues, and even post job appointments. Over the past seven years, we have seen huge advancements in EP in areas of atrial fibrillation ablation and biventricular implantable devices (pacemakers and defibrillators). Electrophysiology procedures and devices have helped to improve the quality of life of our patients. With all this in mind, I want to mention that EP Lab Digest has had a magnificent staff as well as a great editor in Jodie Elrod. EP Lab Digest’s next Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Bradley Knight, will bring a fresh view and his own vision for how the journal will continue to evolve. Dr. Knight hails from the University of Chicago, and as their current EP director, is involved in all the latest technologies. I welcome Dr. Knight to the home of this great digest and wish him well. I plan to remain involved in the journal as the Editor-in-Chief Emeritus, and will enjoy contributing to future issues. Sincerely yours and happy holidays, Todd J.
