Dr. Cohen is the Director of Electrophysiology and Director of the Pacemaker-Arrhythmia Center at Winthrop-University Hospital. He is a published author in many scientific journals, and holds over 15 U.S. patents on pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, the transesophageal defibrillator, and active compression-decompression CPR. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of EP Lab Digest since September 2001.

Dr. Glatter is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California-Davis. Her research interests include risk stratification in the congenital long QT syndrome and sudden unexplained death syndrome.

L. Bing Liem, DO  Atrial Fibrillation Update

Palo Alto Medical Center, Palo Alto, California
Dr. Liem was previously located at the Stanford University Medical Center. Articles in this monthly section will pertain to ablation technology, devices, and pharmacology.

Jose Nazari, MD  Cryotherapy Update

Cardiac Arrhythmia Consultants, Ltd., Chicago, Illinois
Clinical electrophysiologist Dr. Jose Nazari was the Primary Investigator in the clinical trials for cryoablation therapy, and helped in the development of cryotherapy. He was among the first to use cryotechnology to correct heart arrhythmias at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Warren Jackman, MD

University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Dr. Jackman is Professor of Medicine, Cardiovascular Section, at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His special interests include Heart Rhythm Disorders, Cardiac Arrhythmias, AV Nodal Arrhythmias, and Long QT Syndrome.


Alan Kadish, MD

Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois

Dr. Kadish previously served as Associate Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at the University of Michigan. Currently he is the Director of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology at Northwestern University. His clinical interests include catheter ablation, atrial fibrillation, pacemakers, and ICDs.


Bradley P. Knight, MD

University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois

Dr. Knight is an Associate Professor of Medicine as well as the Director of the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Section at the University of Chicago. His research interests include pacing and defibrillation in heart failure and cardiac ablation.

Dr. Link is the Director of the Center for the Evaluation of the Athlete and Assistant Director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Center at Tufts New England Medical Center.


Linda C. Moulton, RN, MS

Linda Moulton, RN, MS is the Owner of Critical Care ED and CCE Consulting, and is a frequent contributor to EP Lab Digest. Her other professional roles have included manager and clinical specialist. She has taught across the U.S., for the Heart Rhythm Society and for industry.

Dr. Olshansky is a Professor of Medicine and serves as the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Iowa Hospitals. Some of his current interests include study of the mechanism of tachycardias, autonomic control of arrhythmias and novel pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to arrhythmias.


Laurie Potter, RN

St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw, Michigan
A frequent author in EP Lab Digest, Laurie Potter joined the editorial board in 2003 and has also begun working as a clinical educator.


Weilun Quan, PhD

Dr. Quan, with the help of the electrophysiology nurses, coordinates an active heart rhythm research program at Winthrop University Hospital.


Walid Saliba, MD

Dr. Saliba is a staff physician in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing. His specialty interests include arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, the treatment of heart failure, and sudden cardiac death.
