Our lab has an abundance of cables that often become tangled and inevitably damaged. Last week damaged cable resulted in a intraprocedure delay of over 1 hour. Our Biomedical Engineers have authorized our department to contact a third party vendor for consultation. Has anyone had similar issues and if so how did you correct the problem. Does anyone know of a vendor that services this type of problem?

Hello, I have my own consulting company and have been involved in electrophysiology for over 10 years. I have helped design new labs and retrofit older labs to meet todays demands. I have extensive experience and relations with multiple industry vendors. You can reach me at dcicomputing@verizon.net. I live in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Reply to this comment »I am a retired IBM telecommunications person that is familiar with the issues of managing cables having worked for over 20 years as a network specialist. I also am familiar with the rooms/labs related to ablation as Dr. Jose Nazari performed an ablation procedure for me over a year ago. I have also had most other related procedures as many were performed prior to my ablation. If you can provide me with you location, I can contact an IBM person that can contact you or you can contact IBM directly at http://www.ibm.com/contact/us/en/ . Hope this helps as I always was amazed at some rooms with literly thousands of cables that were not identified or organized and/or damaged due to same.
